By Jon Egie
Olorogun David Edevbie, on behalf of the people of Ughelli North, the Urhobo Nation and indeed the entire Delta State, has congratulated His Excellency, Senator Dr Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa, Governor of Delta State on his 60th birthday.
In a statement issued by him, Olorogun David Edevbie who is the Chief of Staff to the Governor said Governor Okowa’s 60th birthday marks the beginning of a new dawn for Delta state.
Although people aged 60 are considered old, Olorogun Edevbie aligned with recent research which arguably indicates that life actually starts at 60, an age where people are happier, more confident and more open to adventure, opportunity and change.
Raising 60 cheers of felicitation to the Governor, Olorogun David Edevbie encouraged Deltans to expect a more prosperous Delta State full of opportunities that will make them happier and proud to be associated with the visible change in the economy and politics of the state.
According to Edevbie, evidence of a new lease of life for Delta State are manifesting in the appointments made so far by Governor Okowa over the last few weeks ahead of his 60th birthday, in his choice of round pegs to fit round holes that will support the renaissance of a new Delta state “and over the next four years, Deltans shall see and appreciate a Stronger Delta State where more citizens will be happier”.
He asked and prayed God to grant the Governor more wisdom to midwife the new and Stronger Delta.
