Assistance Publicity Secretary of All Progressive Party (APC), Comrade Philip Onakpoma speaking recently in a function has reacted to the  trauma facing the past governor of Delta State, Chief Onanefe Ibori who is presently serving a jail term in the United Kingdom saying that the present government led by Dr. Emmanuel Eweta Uduaghan should reminisce on this and think of a better way to conduct the local government and state elections by allowing Deltans to choose their leaders themselves.
He noted that the bad side of government which has thrown the leadership of good minded leaders into the dung is the idea of praise singers  and  sycophants, stating that people will not want to tell you the truth for the fear of favour even at the expense of the masses.

He stressed that Uduaghan for detailed analysis should picture back how much money was spent during the re-run elections of 2011 and think properly those who stood for him, if actually his government would have survived the feat of the trials. Onakpoma on this note said, that the imposition of candidates on Deltans is as worse as dying without a man to bear your name or to remember your dedication in service, which may spell out regrets at the end of such leadership. As he said,  “I know this is the bitter truth and it is very difficult for people to tell leaders public feelings about their performances in government that is the reason why the likes of General Babangida, General Sani Abacha and Chief James Ibori faced the problem they faced.” He added that the DSIEC Chairman, Mr. Moses Ogbe at this time must learn to leap alone for the posterity of his office and the ever remembrance and kudos of accolade Deltans will infer for the good service, adding  that this would be for the well expected good governance and conclusion of the tenureship of Uduaghan, he stated
