Warri South-West LG election: Walk your talk, group tells Okowa

A group, Orere Leadership Forum (OLF) comprising of political leaders of Orere ward in Warri South-West Local Government Area has asked Governor Ifeanyi Okowa to remember his promise to the people of the ward and walk his talk.
In a meeting held Sunday, Sept 13 at Warri, the group recalled that Governor Okowa prevailed on politicians from the ward who were hopeful of contesting and winning the chairmanship election of the LGA in the previous council election across the State, to drop their ambitions assuring that Orere ward would produce the Chairman of the council in the next council election.
Consequently, and respect for party supremacy, all local government chairmanship hopeful from Orere ward dropped their ambitions and supported the candidacy of Hon Taiye Tuoyo thereby denying themselves the opportunity to grab the council chairman seat.
Chairman of the group, Hon Simeon Oluwa tasked the governor to remember his promise and give the needed support to ensuring that Orere ward produced the council chairman in the current dispensation.
“We insist that Governor Okowa as a man of integrity, should honour the gentleman agreement and keep his promise for the sake of equity” Hon Iuwa maintained.
Among members of the group present a the meeting were: Hon Samuel Oligida, Hon Emiko Odin-Etuwevwe, HonGabriel Ojegbe, Hon Araye Esigbe and Hon Esigie Omamofe.
Others were: Hon Johnbull Edema, Hon Fenemigho Godwin, Hon Tuoyo Omaghomi, Hon Jopherson Arubi, Hon Shola Wilky and Hon Christiana Omamofe.
