The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta of State has unanimously endorsed Senator Ighoyota Amori for the forthcoming Delta Central Senatorial election just as it promised to buy his nomination form.

This was made known by the leader of the party in the area Chief A. K. Asawota during the Amori ‘s declaration ceremony at his country home recently.

Chief Asawota who was accompanied by other PDP faithful noted that he and his team would leave no stone unturned to deliver Amori both in the primary and the actual election.

Declaring before the crowd of PDP stalwarts and supporters from the eight Local Government Areas in the Delta Central Senatorial district, Amori solicited the overwhelming support of the party in all ramifications lamenting that the mandate the Urhobos gave him (Amori) was already yielding positive results before it was truncated and stolen by political enemies of progress.

Amori who was very elated over the turnout of his political supporters to his declaration ceremony said that as a politician he has empowered so many Deltans particularly the Urhobos, noted that the time for them to reciprocate that gestures has come.

Amori ‘s opponents should have a  rethink , says Chief Edewor

Meanwhile, Chief Bernard Edewor has called on those contesting the forthcoming Delta Central Senatorial election with Senator Ighoyota  Amori  to have a rethink.

Chief Edewor made this call while delivering a speech before the crowd of PDP faithful from the eight Local Government Areas in the Delta Central Senatorial district that graced the Amori ‘s declaration ceremony organized recently in his country home Mosogar.

Edewor who was the chairman of the occasion, noted that apart from being a founding -father of PDP, Senator Amori has also empowered a lot of  Deltans as a politician particularly in the Urhobo nation including those that are contesting with him today saying that it would be unfair for those persons to contest the Senatorial position with him (Amori).

He added that Amori would not beg the Urhobos to return to the Senate rather they owe him a duty to do so. ‘Amori is not begging us to go back to the Senate but we are requesting that he should go back. I am speaking with all authority. ‘

He lamented that the mandate the Urhobos gave to Amori to represent them in the Nigerian Senate was stolen after six months of his inauguration calling them to do same this around.

According to him, “only Senator Amori is qualified for the political struggle in the Senate. ”
