Comrade David Ofoeyeno. President of NULGE, Delta State chapter

The embargo placed on employment in the dawn of the Uduaghan administration shall soon be lifted.
President of the Nigeria Union of Local Government Employee (NULGE), Delta State chapter, Comrade David Ofoeyeno, gave the hint in an interview during the occasion of send forth and reception of Comrade Jones Ofunne and Comrade David Ofoeyeno organized by the Environmental Health Officers Association of Nigeria; Sunday, December 18.

The occasion which began with a thanksgiving at the S.S. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ughelli culminated at an award giving ceremony.

Among those given awards during the ceremony were: Chief Ukpedor J.I (former chairman, local government service commission, Asaba), Comrade jones Ofunne (Deputy National President, NULGE), Comrade David Ofoeyeno (State President, NULGE), Hon. Matthew Mole Edema), Mr. Uboh Mark and Barr. Nomuoja Paul.


Others were: Mr. Kosin William, Mr. Unuraye Lucky and Dr. Olojoba Agness.

Comrade David Ofoeyeno affirmed the stay of the embargo on employment order placed by the state government but assured that the State governor, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan has assured that very soon, “the embargo will be lifted and by God’s grace everything will be okay, we will employ staff and everybody will smile.”

State President of the Environmental Health Officers Association, Mr. Ojugbeli Godwin used the occasion to request the State governor, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan to carry environmental sanitation along with other numerous areas of special attention in his administration in the New Year so that specific problems like the materials and funding needed for effective and health sub sector are addressed.

“This will ensure that the desire to make Delta State the cleanest in Nigeria is actualized” Ojugbeli said.
