The Pere of Kabowei visits Ohworode of Olomu for a jaw-jaw.

The traditional ruler of Kabowei Kingdom, HRM (Barr) Shadrack Peremobowei Erebulu, Aduo 111, the Pere of Kabowei kingdom; Thursday, February 9, 2018 visited the Ohworode of Olomu, HRM, Dr Richard Layeguen Ogbon, Ogoni-Oghoro 1, in his palace at Ogoni-Olomu for a jaw-jaw.
In the entourage of the Pere of Kabowei were Chief Freeman Akpedi, Chief Emmanuel Otogie, Chief Oki Bernard, Chief Sunny Bomadede and Chief Niko Bowei. They were received by the Olomu monarch supported by a retinue of Olomu traditional chiefs and both traditional institutions exchanged pleasantries and gifts.
The visit provided opportunity for some of the chiefs of Kabowei kingdom in the entourage of the Pere , for the first time, to have a face-to-face contact with the Olomu monarch who is said to be the oldest king in the world.
Speaking during the occasion, the Olomu traditional ruler, 101, said HRM (Barr) Shadrack Peremobowei Erebulu, Aduo 111 was the first among Izon monarchs to pay him an official visit.
He said the father of the Pere of Kabowei kingdom, until his demise, was his very good friend and prayed for long life, peace and development for the Kabowei kingdom in the reign of HRM (Barr) Shadrack Peremobowei Erebulu, Adou 111.
“This gift of longevity, good health and progress I pray for all of you” the Ohworode said and advised the chiefs of Kabowei kingdom to stand firmly by the young Izon king and direct him when he goes wrong because the king’s success is their success.
“He is a young man and needs fatherly and elderly counsel. Please be patient with him. He will be older than his father, as he has stepped into my palace God will give him long life” the Ohworode prayed.
After a sumptuous entertainment provided by the Olomu monarch and reciprocated by the Pere of Kabowei, both traditional rulers repaired to the chambers of Ohworode of Olomu for a jaw-jaw.
In an interview later, the Pere of kabowei said he the meeting with the centenarian monarch of Olomu kingdom was a good one.
“It was very educative, I learnt a lot from him” he said and described the Olomu people as blessed to have HRM, Dr R.L. Ogbon, Ogoni-Oghoro 1 as their king.
“Continue to support him and I will continue to pray for him” the Pere urged.
