One of the All Progressives Congress, APC front liners in Delta State, Chief Edeh Edafenone has condemned in entirety the recent certificate hubbub the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP has given prominence, stating that the issue is totally irrelevant and should be dropped.
Chief Edeh who made the statement when fielding questions from newsmen at the campaign rally of the APC in Uvwie Local Government Area, asserted that “a former Head of State is definitely qualified to rule this country”.
Stating that General Mohammadu Buhari’s Curriculum Vitae, CV in the army alone is enough to give him credibility as someone who has skills and knowledge to rule this country. “I do not believe that the West Africa Examination Council, WAEC result should be an issue at this stage” he added.
Also, in response to the why he left Democratic Peoples Party DPP, for the All Progressives Congress, Edafenone said DPP was a local party and did not have national presence. According to him, “the party was weak and for those of us in opposition, looking for a credible vehicle in other to actualize our vision of change, we feel that APC is the most credible vehicle in order to achieve that”.
He also said that “for us in APC, we are very confident of making it. Yes, PDP has been in charge of Delta State for the last 16 years but it is definitely a time for change. The Labour Party is a factor only in the sense that they are also fielding an Urhobo candidate but Labour Party does not have either the national presence of the APC or even the Delta State presence of the APC. Great Ogboru was a formidable force in the previous elections but today is the time of APC and APC will hold the day” he further stated.
