The  Divisional Police Officer, DPO in charge of A’Division Ughelli, CSP Jonathan A cha, Psi has charged members of the Man O’ War Nigeria to be of good conduct and work in a synergy with the Police in order to eradicate cultism and other criminal activities in the area.

The police boss gave the charge recently when members of the Man ‘O War Nigeria, Ughelli Area command led by the Area Commander, Sobotie Samuel paid the DPO a familiarization tour at his office in Ughelli.

CSP Jonathan noted that the role of Man O’ War in crime fighting is important as they live with the people and most of those involved in cultism and criminal activities in the society are their peers.

He called on the leadership of the Man O’ War in Ughelli Area Command to nominate 12 of her responsible and disciplined members with integrity, committed and trusted so he can introduce and co opt them to work with the different security agents with the aim of fishing out criminals and bringing criminality to the barest minimum in the area.

Speaking further, the Police boss maintained that for the Man O’ War to be effective and duly recognized, its officers and men must be up and doing and as well have proper orientation on information gathering process on criminals.

He added that such officers must learn how to maintain  sealed lips especially on matters under investigation, getting the real name of suspected criminals, their nick names or sabotage name, address and as well as their criminal history line.

He called on members of Man O’ War to shun vices such excess drinking, conspiring with criminals and other activities capable of implicating them, promising that the police is ready to package the Man O’ War to be among active national security outfits if only they can prove their integrity.

Responding, the Area Commander on behalf of other members pledged their support in enforcing the mandate given and promised to work harmoniously with the Police in ensuring crime free society.

They thanked the DPO for the warm reception and humble manner in which he received them and promised not to let him them.

All the Units’ Commanders including Lucky Agboro of Freedom Units, Ese Ofogba of Central Unit, Umuago Lucky of Tiger Uni,t Moses Sunday of Eagle Unit, ThankGod of Eni Unit, and Onome O. of Action Unit attended as well as the Area Command Executive.
