Olorogun David Edevbie

The Governor of Delta State, Senator Dr Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa along with other Deltans has poured encomiums on the Chief of Staff to the governor, Olorogun David Edevbie who turned 57 yesterday.

Leading the flow of encomiums, Governor Okowa urged his Chief of Staff, Olorogun David Edevbie to remain unrelenting in his service to the State and country, Nigeria.

Recognizing that over the years, Olorogun David Edevbie has continued to offer genuine leadership at various levels of governance, Governor Okowa appreciated the professional advice and direction that Olorogun David Edevbie has provided for the government and people of Delta State.

“This is why, today, on behalf of the government and people of Delta State, I congratulate you, my brother and friend, David, on the occasion of your 57th birthday.

“As you celebrate, it is my prayer that God will continue to bless you with good health and wisdom to continue serving mankind.” Okowa said.

Hundreds of other persons within and outside Delta State added voice in sending goodwill messages to the Chief of Staff to Governor Okowa, prominent among who harped on the personality poise, physique, professional expertise and social demeanour of Olorogun David Edevbie.

A Deltan, Idi Ifeanyichukwu Presley described David Edevbie as a fine gentleman, refined and polished who cannot be missed even in a crowd of ten thousand persons.

“His stunning looks, charming personality and jaw dropping smile are a sight to behold” he eulogized and added, “you may miss Andrew the giant of blessed memory in a room, but not this fine boy with too much swagger who has defiled the aging logic and possibly ‘found the fountain of youth’ to explain the myth behind his looking more handsome, younger and fitter than a 30 year old Hollywood Movie Star.

“Away from his mesmerizing physique, David Edevbie is an asset, a financial expert of the highest caliber, Harvard trained, from his sojourn at Barclays Bank London in 1988 till today as Chief of Staff, David Edevbie has been a trailblazer, his passion for service a trademark alien to our politicians, where others go bullish and forceful, he keeps his calm, slow and steady wins the race he believes and Edevbie always wins”. He remarked and added that although no one would begrudge if David Edevbie was to retire, having served Delta State and Nigeria very well, but “David is still very needed” to serve Delta in higher capacity.

Another Deltan, Enedouwa Casimir Emeke in his good will message observed that David Edevbie has been a very strong instrument to the successes and achievements of Governor Okowa so far and asked God to give Edevbie the enablement and fortune to enjoy same support from Deltans.

Not far from Idi Ifeanyichukwu’s assessment, Comrade Norbert Chiazor, former Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Delta State Council profusely painted Edevbie as a markedly noticeable individual even in a crowded hall.

“Blessed with disarming subtlety, he is calm, neat and sharply like English Actor Robert Pattinson of the Twilight Saga box office fame, who topped the list of the 2020 most handsome man in the world by Golden Ratio ranking among global celebrity media.”

Seeing a marked difference between him and other politicians in the locale the journalists said, “At government circles, Edevbie a British trained Economist is a spectacle of cultivated grooming. Ever courteous and self respecting, he is not given to vulgarity or impudent crudity that are common mannerism of most political office holders in Nigeria.

“Far from a strong petrel, Edevbie is neither a die-hard troublesome politician nor a bullish power monger. He acts more as a genial player, a gentleman in government.” Chiazor surmised.

As part of the activities marking the 57th birthday celebration, Olorogun David Edevbie also gave a good will message to Deltans home and abroad as they celebrate the year 2020 Christmas. In his short and precise message Olorogun David Edevbie called on Deltans to unite in love and pray for peace in the State and country, Nigeria:

“Fellow Deltans, I extend warm Christmas greetings to you at home and abroad.

“This festive season presents us an opportunity to reunite and show love to those around us. I also urge all Deltans to use this period to pray for the peace of Delta State and the nation as a whole.

“During this Christmas season may you be surrounded by the love of family and friends. I wish you and your family a blessed, safe and hope-filled Christmas.

“God bless you the people of Delta State” Edevbie cheered.
