A Chieftain of the Advance Congress for Democrat party in Delta State, Hon
Johnbull Okoro has said there is nothing to celebrate on the two years administration of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa as Governor of Delta State noting that the Governor Okowa administration has failed Deltans.

Hon Okoro made this assertion in Ozoro while briefing newsmen on some of the issues bedeviling Deltans in the Okowa administration.

He stated that, the State governor’s failure to pay the local government council workers out of the monthly federal allocation accruing to the State is a clear fact that the State governor is never concerned about the well being of Deltans.

In his words: “Our checks revealed that the initial gentleman agreement entails sharing of the monthly federal allocations accruing to local government councils in Delta State in such a way that the local government councils will get 50%, while the remaining 50% will be used to pay primary school staff, even as it was reliably gathered that the Okowa administration stopped release of the 600 million naira his predecessors used to augment local government allocations monthly.”

Hon Okoro also added that, “It is important to once again briefly remind us of the state of affairs in Delta State as it has plunged the vast majority of the people into this two years of despondency, repressed and depressed condition and still ongoing. I would have simply wished Deltans happy celebrations of the Democracy Day but there is nothing to celebrate from this Governor Okowa administration”.

He however advised the State governor, Sen. Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa to amend his ways if he dreams of coming back for second tenure in 2019, just adding that, “Governor Okowa’s Townhall meeting is a way of showcasing his failure in public for Deltans and Nigerians to see”
