Obasanjo commissions World Class Hotel in Oleh
*describes private sector as engine for development

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has commissioned a world class hotel, Dantinajo Gold Resort Ltd, in Oleh; Saturday, May 18, 2019.
Speaking shortly after the commissioning, President Obasanjo described the hotel as a practical example of mobilizing resources for physical development.
President Obasanjo who expressed satisfaction at the size and facilities available in the hotel used the opportunity to call for a sustained encouragement of the private sector in order to boost the economy for development.
He said the private sector must be seen as the engine of development in the society noting that the job of the public sector is to provide a conducive atmosphere for the private sector to thrive.
The former president also stressed on the need for the public sector to regulate the activities of the private sector since an unregulated private sector could make economic situations worse for the citizenry.
In his remark, CEO of the hotel, Engr Daniel Elozino Omoyibo an indigene of Oleh said the purpose of the hotel was to contribute his quota to reducing unemployment in the locality, Isoko nation, Delta state and Nigeria at large to a tolerable level.
He expressed gratitude to God and to Pastor TB Joshua, his spiritual father for the support in ensuring that the dream of the hotel came true.
He urged others who have the resources to do same by investing in areas of their interests and increase the number of persons that would be removed from the unemployment market.
Earlier, President Obasanjo delivered a key note address titled, “ Mobilising Nigeria’s Human and Natural Resources for National Development and Stability” during the synod of the Oleh Diocese, Anglican Communion of the Church of Nigeria held the same day.
