Michael Ibru redefined business environment in Nigeria – Gov. Obaseki

Late Olorogun Michael Ibru was a colossus who redefined the business environment in Nigeria. He was truly blessed by God and he did positively impact his generation with his God given wealth.
Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki in his tribute stated this at the business icon funeral service which held at the All Saints’ Cathedral, Church of Nigeria, Anglican Communion, Ughelli, Delta State, Wednesday, Dec.14.
“We take solace in the Lord that Chief Ibru as you know was a colossus. He was truly blessed by God, and he spread out his blessings as much as he could as a human being.”
The Governor noted that Ibru’s impact on the business scene in Nigeria was not only tremendous but it redefined the environment.
“As you know, Chief Michael Ibru redefined the business environment in Nigeria, and he had tremendous impact on the business scene during his lifetime. And we are grateful to God for his life.”
He re – called, that the late patriarch of the Ibru family began his life in Benin City and he lived a worthy life.
“We in Edo State are grateful to him because he started his business in Benin City in the late 50s, and 60s and we are grateful that he lived a worthy life.”
He prayed that may his soul find peace in the bosom of God.
Also in attendance at the event which attracted very important personalities across Nigeria and beyond, was Governor of Delta State, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa.
The late famous Chief of the Urhobo nation and leader, passed on recently.
