The over 450 Primary Health Care facilities in Delta State will soon wear a new and better look.

Dr Richard Kofi who is the chairman of the newly inaugurated board of the Primary Health Care Development Agency gave the assurance in an interview during a post-inauguration reception ceremony held in Ovwor; Wednesday, Dec.9

He said the mandate of the board as spelt out by Governor Okowa is to aggressively pursue service delivery and “make sure we provide health for all Deltans with the acronym HEFAD and that mandate is one of the foci to drive the SMART agenda that will bring prosperity to all Deltans.

Dr Kofi said the board will critically look at the PHC facilities across the State with a view to making them efficient in service delivery after he has undergone a familiarisation tour of the facilities.

“I assure that after going round what Deltans will be seeing will be far better from what is on ground”.

He emphasised that the goal of the board is to give health to all Deltans and in that light, “we will look at the processes on ground and improve on them and we will also develop new strategies that will help us achieve that goal.”

He hailed Deltans for making the right choice in electing Senator Dr Ifeanyi Okowa as governor of Delta State reassuring that the governor will bring the much expected prosperity to all Deltans.

“I can see Deltans are already happy, roads are being constructed, the dividend of democracy is spreading and it will get to everybody” Kofi enthused.
