Hope in God charges DPP members to be committed

Ahead of the forth coming local government polls, a front line DPP hopeful, Mr Francis Onakpofure aka Hope in God has called on members of the party to remain steadfast in the protection of the interest of the party.
Speaking in a dinner party held for members of the DPP in Ughelli recently, Mr Onakpfure recalled the victories recorded by the DPP in spite of the odds and the overwhelming support given to his ambition.
He described all his supporters as people who yearn for positive change in Ughelli North LG and sued them to remain committed.
In moralizing the party members, Hope in God compared politics to farm work that demands constant nurturing of crops before the are mature for harvest.
He charged his supporters not to weary but carry on in the struggle to succeed.
He frowned at the boast of the ruling party (PDP) that they will win all LGAs during the local polls and asked “how”?
The DPP local government council chairman hopeful assured of good news ahead saying the signs were already at hand for the party to emerge victorious against the forces of evil.
“Do not be deceived by the use of financial inducement” he urged and reassured that all hope is not lost and since “I am living; I have hope that God will give us victory.
“I am a man of vision, I am a man full of purpose, I do not accommodate negative thoughts”
Also speaking during the occasion, the acting chairman of the party in Ughelli, Mr Oharisi Bright asked members of the party to be cautious in their choices of politicians they give support to in order to avoid regrets that the party members are already experiencing following carelessness in the support given to some of the party members in recent times, but whose loyalty to the party has been in doubt.
Mr Philip Onakpoma, aleading supporter of the Hope in God aspiration encouraged the party members to be steadfast and vote for an accessible person like Francis Onakpofure whenever the party primary is held.
