Hekusi Hotel opens in Ughelli

The hospitality business in Ughelli got a new entrant on Sunday, April 27, when Hekusi Hotel was declared open.
Situated along Ighwreovie primary school Road, Ighwreovie-Ughelli, the hotel renders accommodation services in a serene and natural setting. It also has a restaurant, bar and laundry services with moderate costs. It parades 24 single rooms and a suite, all with air conditioners made functional with 24-hour power supply.
Hekusi is a corruption of Henry Akamakusi – a derivative of the name of the Proprietor, Henry Emoghene Akamakusi. Hekusi, thw proprietor says implies that the sojourn of guests to the hotel is honoured as the hotel’s philosophy aims to make guests feel as much comfortable as the y could be at home. The security of guests is also taken seriously as a no to all -comers’ policy is in place.
Declaring the hotel open in a cocktail party held at the hotel’s open air ground on Sunday, April 27, Mr Ovoke Oshasha who was the chairman of the opening ceremony expressed satisfaction with the standard of the facilities available in the hotel.
He prayed for God’s blessing to enable the hotel to succeed in business for its management to continue to take more unemployed persons from the streets.
The occasion was graced by Chief Ejiro Erhenede, Dr Paul Owhe, Mr Ovoke Oshasha, Mr Charles Umukoro among other dignitaries.
