Group thanks Okowa over POC’s appointment

The Ughelli North Grassroots Politicians, a political group sympathetic to the PDP, has expressed gratitude to Governor Ifeanyi Okowa for appointing Chief Pius Ovbije (POC) as the Commissioner representing Ughelli North and Ethiope East LGAs in the board of DESOPADEC.
Rising from a meeting of the group held in Ughelli, Tuesday, Sept. 8, representatives of the group from the seven clans of Ughelli North LGA in a unanimous decision voiced their appreciation to the governor for the choice of POC as the fit and proper person to represent the area in the board of the Commission.
Speaking on behalf of the group, Barr Elvis Ekorhi who represents Agbarho clan in the LG, said POC has a track record of philanthropy and has impacted positively on the lives of many people in his mandate area with his personal resources.
He assured that POC will not disappoint the people for whose interest he was appointed into the board of the Commission.
“We once again want to thank the governor for this gesture and use this opportunity to reassure him of our unalloyed support to his administration” Ekorhi said.
The meeting was attended by : Hon Johwo Akise (Ughelli), Hon Bestman Itive (Agbarha), Hon Joe Onakpoma (Orogun), Hon Napoleon Mukoro (Evwreni), Mr Dennis Aboro (Ogor), Mr Godwin Okpidiama (Uwheru), Madam Queen Adjarho (Women Leader) and Mr Vincent Egajivwie (member)
