Group charges senator-elect to be impartial in development and empowerment.
The Delta Central Frontier group for Good Governance, DCFG, a political pressure group has call on the delta central senator elect, Chief Ighoyota Amori, to spread his developmental projects across the district and empower the people meaningfully without discrimination and irrespective of party affiliation.
The group in a statement made available to newsmen and signed by its President and Secretary, Comrade Freeman Aghoshe and Mrs. Eseoghene Ejiro Godwin, noted that the winner-takes-it-all mentality has not done any good to the masses for since the past 16 years in Nigeria. The group called on Amori to see himself as a representative of the entire Urhobo nation, not only of the People Democratic Party (PDP).
The statement urged him to carry out his developmental projects evenly and never to use his office to witch-hunt anyone. The group further warned all elected political office holders to ensure the interest of the masses comes first in order to alleviate their suffering noting that gone are the days of treating such issues with levity.
They also vowed to embark on a protest if their plea is treated with scorn as never again the Nigerian citizen will wallow in poverty in the midst of plenty. The statement also charged all Delta Central senatorial indigenes to commend the efforts of leaders when they do well and criticize them when they go contrary.
