Edo Community Head bags award for credible leadership

Like the scriptural declaration; ‘A House on the hill – top cannot be hidden’ the Odionwere (traditional Head) of Ogheghe – Numagbai village, Uhunmwode Local Government Council Area, Edo State, Kingsley Iziegbe Amayo Ehizomwangie has been conferred credible leadership award by the Society for Advancement of Credible Leadership (SOACREL).
SOACREL; an Abuja based Civil Society Organization on Saturday, 17 February, 2018 conferred the award on Ehizomwangie for his impactful style of leadership within six months of assumption of office as the traditional Head of Ogheghe – Numagbai.
Speaking at the event, the Director General of the body, Jonny Ben said through thorough investigation and screening by its media arm, the Odionwere was nominated for his grassroots positive impacts within the short period of his re – affirmation by the Benin Monarch, Oba Ewuare II.
The Odionwere has distinguished himself. Within August last year, and February this year, he has achieved some heartwarming landmarks which are fast growing the community and her people, Ben noted.
Some of the achievements include; re – installation of constant light supply to the area, revival of the hitherto abandoned market, government registered street names in the village, resuscitation of the village bad roads, enthronement of cordial inter – tribal co – existence leading to enduring peace among many others.
Odionwere Ehizomwangie has also been nominated for the United Nations (UN) Peace Ambassadorship by the award body; (SOACREL).
He expressed gratitude for the award as he dedicates it to Oba Ewuare II for having given him the opportunity to serve, members of his family, and people of Ogheghe whom he said have been very supportive since his re – affirmation by the Monarch.
Odionwere Ehizomwangie reassured that he would continue to use his leadership position to attract development to the village.
He appealed to natives of the village in the Diasporas to come home join efforts in the re- building process and take the village to the zenith of development
