The Honourable Commissioner for Justice and the Attorney General of Delta state, Barr Mrakpo has applauded the Delta state governor, Sen. Arthur Ifeanyi Okowa over the Effurun-Otor/Ovwor bridge project.
Mrakpo, who gave this commendation while speaking with newsmen during the inspection of the bridge project by the state governor, Sen. Okowa said Ughelli South has achieved much in Okowa’s government and to reciprocate his kind gesture is to give him massive votes come 2019.
He stated that the bridge is a dream come through seeing the progress made on the project within a short period of time and when completed, within five to ten minutes one will from Ovwor reach Effurun-Otor instead spending about forty-five minutes turning round.
“This is a dream come through and I am very grateful to the Governor because it’s one project that we will continue to bless him because its imagination, wishes that is reality,” Mrakpo stated.
The Commissioner while commending Okowa for the bridge project said that in Ughelli South, the Governor has done a lot of projects, and deserves to be appreciated.
He said, “in Ughelli South, the Governor has done a lot of projects and is their way of saying thank you, we love you and appreciate you and that come 2019 March, we will tell you that our love will be translated in votes for you to win.
Speaking further, Mrakpo said that he believes in equity, fairness and justice and that God is God of equity and justice urged Delta Central and Urhobo to allow Okowa to complete his second tenure.
He said,” Delta Central under Chief James Onanefe Ibori ruled eight years, Delta South under Dr. Emmanuel Eweta Uduaghan ruled eight years, Okowa will do eight years also because that is what the God I worship is. People can aspire, people will always aspire and trust in chariots and horses but we trust in God because it’s God that own chariots in war.
He therefore urged Delta Central to be patient and support Governor Okowa to complete his second tenure; he said “we should as people respect the arrangement we had and allow Delta North complete their tenure”.
