The main thrust of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar in the 2019 general election is to ensure a socio-economic and political balance and fair play irrespective of ethnic inclination and religious leanings across the country.

Alhaji Aliyu Suleman, an aide to the wife of Atiku Abubakr disclosed this in Ughelli; Thursday, January 18 while interacting with Bishops/Ministers Council and South-South Political Elites; a political pressure group geared towards ensuring good governance in Nigeria.

Suleman described Atiku as a socialist and liberalist with huge investment in the development of youth and the young people of Nigeria and hence his proprietary of the American University in Nigeria.

He said Atiku was conscious of the economic strangulation of the people of the Niger Delta in the Nigerian polity and that awareness is the reason for his orchestrated agitation for restructuring of the country to provide equal political and economic opportunities for all Nigerians.

Suleman gave assurance of Atiku’s readiness to fly the flag of the PDP as its presidential candidate in 2019 pointing out that it is only Atiku that has the muscle to wrest power from the APC led administration of President Muhammadu Buhari that can be seen as a shadow military government because of the number of retired military personnel in his cabinet.

According to him, at the right time useful hands across the country including people of the Niger Delta will be recruited into the campaign train of Atiku to ensure total victory in 2019 and urged members of the group to be alert for the task ahead.

Earlier, Chairman of the South-South Political Elites, Hon Johwo Akise in a welcome address expressed satisfaction and delight at the decision of Atiku to return to the PDP saying it would have a hypodermic effect to the success of the PDP in 2019 general election. On behalf of the other groups in the Niger Delta he pledged support for the political ambition of His Excellency, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and assured that the group would swim and sink with Atiku.

Others who spoke during the event included Hon Sunny Okoro, President Vision 2019 who urged Suleman to carry the message to Atiku that the people of the Niger Delta would gladly support his political dream so long he continues and maintains faith with the campaign of restructuring Nigeria.

“Tell His Excellency that as God will soon make him the President of Nigeria he should not waste time in restructuring Nigeria. We love Atiku, we are ready to work for him because we have to change the change. All the lies and deception of APC have to stop and Atiku can stop them.

Leader of the PDP Ideology Crusaders, Ohwofadjeke Francis said his group was ready to mobilize the populace support for Atiku because of Atiku’s love for Nigeria.

Secretary of the group, Hon Joe Onakpoma stressed that the credibility of Atiku for the task ahead was not in doubt but called for recruitment of new hands in his campaign team as the old hands may disappoint.

The President of the Bishops/Minsters Council, Bishop Johnson Ojakovo assured Alhaji Suleman of the abundance of capapble hands to make things happen as desired for the election of Atiku Abubakar as President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria come 2019.
