In recognition of impactful service to humanity in society, Benin based ‘Edo Legacy Foundation’ has conferred its Prestigious Excellence Gold Award’ on Hon. Peter Iziogie Aguele, and Ambassador Destiny Ebagua.

This year’s Award is the 17th in the series.

Aguele is the substantive Chairman, Esan-South-East Local Government Council area of Edo State, and Ebagua, a business mogul with interest in the entertainment industry,  also a philanthropist.

The recipients were nominated after a thorough research on their track record in their various field of endeavor by the Award Committee; Amb. Engr. Pedro Omo-Aghahowa,

Natural President of the Foundation told Journalists.

Omo-Aghahowa delivering his address at the event staggered in line with the COVID-19 protocol, in Benin-City last week, described Aguele as a grassroots politician who has done so much touching lives of his people even before coming into Government.

As a Local Government Council Chairman, Aguele is not only proving to be a dependable leader who is in tune with the plight of his people, but also a philanthropist of great reckoning, he stated.

“Since assumption of office, he has been building bridges of unity and harmony between the political leaders, ordinary people, and Government.”

Aguele fielding questions from Journalists, said having found him worthy for the Award only after 11months in office, means it is a call for more works, for the benefit of his people.

He asserts, that it was the resolve of his  administration to run Government like business capitalizing on the agrarian nature of Esan-South-East Council area, to woo investors via creating the enabling environment.

Aguele who dedicates the Award to God Almighty for His mercies and grace upon him; and the good people of his Council area, is also a farmer, with 16 years experience in the oil-palm farm sector.

Omo-Aghahowa conferring the ‘Most Valuable Edo Personality of the Year Award’ on Ebagua, stated that the recipient has been outstanding impacting humanity.

Though not a politician and holding public office, he has unquenchable passion for humanitarian works deploring resources; adding value to society.

“Ebagua is passionate about the plight of the down trodden in the society; a virtue which caught attention of Edo Legacy Foundation”.

Ambassador Destiny Ebagua is a native of Ogan, Orhionmwon Local Government Council area of Edo State.

He is the Chairman/Managing Director, FP Entertainment Global Outfit; a promoter of popular Nigerian musical artist, 2Face Idibia.

FP Entertainment is into youth empowerment via entrepreneurial drive, and had invested so much resources in this venture.

Ebagua in a short speech said he dedicates the Award to God Almighty, adding it is very important to him, a fresh challenge and call to do more in the service to humanity.

He prayed; that with God on his side he would not fail.
