Hon Igho Ugbegu, DTHA hopeful

Hon Igho Ugbegu,a hopeful for the Delta State House of Assembly 2019 election has assured her teeming supporters that she was prepared for the contest.

The aspirant gave the assurance during a mega rally of the SDP held in Orogun Town, Friday, June 1.

In attendance at the rally were the Delta State SDP Chairman, Amb Oke Idawene, members of the National Executive Council ( Evang Jerry Omorovie and Chief Andrew Okagbare), the Chairman of SDP in Ughelli North, Prince Sunday Oberokpa;ward leaders, party members and representatives of other political parties including the ADC.

Hon Ugbegu said she was in the race to win adding that she has been engaged and still engages in wide consultation with stakeholders across the constituency and was impressed by the responses and encouragement she has gotten so far.

She appealed to the party members and leadership to continue with the level of support given to her. She also appealed to the electorate to ensure a free, fair and conclusive election after she has gotten the party ticket for the election.

“I am very confident I will get the party ticket and win the general election. I am only waiting for the Election Day. I do not see any threat within and without even from other political parties. Please continue your support for me” she sued.

Earlier, the State SDP Chairman, Amb Idawene charged party members to be committed to the victory of the party at the polls. He assured that the prospects of the SDP were high at the national level as well as in Delta state ahead of the 2019 election and therefore urged all members to show commitment and solidarity with the aspirant.
